The Warre hive or 'people hive' as it is also known was developed by Émile Warré in the 1930s. It is made of white deal and comes assembled but will need to be painted before use. It provides beekeepers with a natural, sustainable beekeeping system as the design resembles a hollow in a tree.
The standard hive has an open mesh floor, gabled roof, 4 brood boxes, a quilt box with an insulation board and frames.
